Crafts
*Snack Sacks - These can be easily sewn out of a sturdy light coloured fabric - sew them like a lunch bag. Add velcro for closing. Let children decorate with fabric paints or markers.
*Shoe Box - cut out apple shapes from white paper and have children colour or paint them.
*Name Labels - Everything needs to be labelled for school so here is a fun way for children to participate in adding some personality to their name labels. Have children design a label either on paper with markers or on the computer. Print the labels off on transfer paper and iron on to clothing tags. Remember to follow transfer paper instructions.
*Zipper Pulls - Purchase lanyard hooks. Using wire (we used telephone wire but you can also use floral wire) and beads, have children design a zipper pull. Attach to the hook and then onto jackets and/or backpacks.
